On the 17th July the Sunday school are having there annual outing and this time they are visiting Lightwater Valley. This trip will provide chances to have fun and fellowship together. Please pray that the day is a success!

Jesus saw a crowd chasing down a woman to stone her and approached them. “What’s going on here, anyway?” he asked.

“This woman was found committing adultery, and the law says we should stone her!” one of the crowd responded.

“Wait,” yelled Jesus. “Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.”

Suddenly, a stone was thrown from out of the sky, and knocked the woman on the side of her head.

“Aw, c’mon, Dad…” Jesus cried, “I’m trying to make a point here!”

We are a group of ordinary folk of all ages from a few months old to almost 100 year old who have found that in Jesus Christ we can make sense of our lives and the world in which we live. We are no better than anyone else but we have discovered that God has such a love for us that we can’t help but thank Him. We are people who get things wrong, make mistakes, have problems and sometimes feel weak and lonely, yet in the Lord Jesus Christ we have found a friend who sticks with us through all the challenges of our lives. It is truly amazing and we would love you to know Him too. We give you an “Open Invitation” to come and share with us whenever you can. We can’t promise a U2 or Coldplay but we do have a vibrant worship band that plays every Sunday for free (unlike U2 or Coldplay) and most of all we can assure you of a warm welcome!

We are situated by the Artlebeck bridge which is between the two villiages of Caton and Brookhouse. We meet each Sunday morning at 10.30 am for a service which seeks to engage the needs of all. This is followed by refreshments (a brew) in the hall. On Sunday evenings we have a variety of different types of meetings which usually take place at 6.30 pm

We aim to be a worshipping, Christ-like, open, caring and supportive fellowship that is committed to faithful proclamation, relevant witness and practical living of the gospel in the community.

During the week we generally meet in people’s home to share together and encourage one another to follow Jesus. These get togethers are open to all and if you contact the Pastor, he will gladly put you in touch with a group near you.

Children and young people hold a special place in our fellowship. We seek to include them in our services and most weeks they have a Sunday school during the latter part of the morning services. Once a month on the 2nd Sunday morning we have an “All Age” service where together we praise the Lord and seek to learn together. You are assured of a warm welcome
